Vtg Buddhist Honzon Enshrined Image Butsugu
This is a vintage Japanese small cardboard altar that folds into three. At the center, the name of Namu Amida Butsu (likely) is written in black vertical characters. The side panels also have inscriptions. The inside is covered with spots in gold foil. The outside is covered with silk in a red and gold pawlonia leaf pattern. This type of honzon (enshrined image) can be placed on a small Buddhist home altar or be used while traveling.
