Vintage Japanese Wooden Lidded Storage Box 

Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food. 

This is a vintage Japanese lidded wooden box made to store a stack of ozen serving tray tables. The lid fits into the side and there’s black kanji written on the front of the lid. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
