Vintage Japanese Folding Fan Case

This is a vintage Japanese folding fan case/carrying sleeve, or sensubukuro. This case is made specifically for multiple maisen, or performing fans, and has a hard outer shell to keep the fans protected inside. It has orange silk with peony and chrysanthemum traditional designs and closes with a metal button clasp. Inside is an off-white lining.
