Vintage Japanese Wooden Small Plates

This item is a set of vintage Japanese small plates, also called meimeizara/kozara. Meimeizara are often used in Japanese tea ceremony for wagashi sweets, but can be used for other small desserts or dishes, or even as tea cup saucers (chataku) and they are large enough to hold a small spoon on the side. These plates are a very simple style with a dark brown brushed lacquered finish. It is a set of five.
